Angie Cannon writes "My papaw, Richard "Marvin" Woodring (above), was the manager. My dad, Anthony Woodring, was a cook
there, and my mom, Sheila
Horrocks, waitressed there so I was there all the time as a child. My papaw's aunt, Mrs. Howard, Ken
Howard's grandmother, owned it.The picture
of my papaw sitting down was taken at the Moo for a "Meet Your Neighbor" section
of the News-Enterprise.

State Theater
Star-Lite Drive-In
Movies were one of the in things for young people to do on Friday and
Saturday nights and E'town had two elegant and cool venues, both on
the Dixie! While the State Theater has recently been renovated, the
Star-Lite property is now occupied by Star-Lite Center.
