In 1999, after having refurbished the original studios at 406 S. Mulberry a couple of years before and removing the turntables and switching to satellite formats, management chose to donate the record libraries of WIEL and WKMO to local charity by way of an auction/sale. Unfortunately only a portion of the records were sold with the rest being returned to the station. Many thanks to Ross Becker and Brian Walker for extending the first opportunity to your humble webmaster to acquire a good many of these gems, some of which appear below. Keeping them all in the WIEL family, what was left were entrusted to Harry Harrison. Keep in mind these are the actual records you heard on 14WIEL, complete with notes and stickers from program directors and disc jockeys.
